Domaine Entre-Deux-Monts is located between the Rodeberg and Zwarteberg in the heart of Heuvelland. Founded in 2004 by Martin Bacquaert, the estate spans 20 hectares and produces around 120,000 bottles of wine annually.
The unique combination of iron sandstone soils and a cool microclimate, influenced by the proximity to the North Sea, results in elegant and fresh wines. Entre-Deux-Monts offers sparkling, white, red, and fortified wines, beloved by both experts and enthusiasts.
Martin Bacquaert, the driving force behind Entre-Deux-Monts, comes from a family with a passion for wine and beverages. After studying as a bio-engineer and obtaining a master's degree in viticulture and oenology in France, he gained experience at renowned wineries in France and Italy.
In 2004, he, together with his father Yves, planted the first vines on the land of his grandfather Jean. Since then, Martin has developed the estate into one of the leading wineries in Belgium, with a focus on quality and sustainability.
Entre-Deux-Monts follows sustainable viticulture practices with respect for nature and climate. The estate avoids the use of herbicides and insecticides, employs mechanical weed control, and promotes biodiversity by planting hedges and grass.
Additionally, environmentally friendly measures are taken, such as using lighter bottles, recycled cardboard, solar panels, and rainwater reuse. This approach results in wines that reflect the unique character of the Heuvelland terroir.
The estate is known for its sparkling wines, which make up 60% of the production. Made using the traditional method, these wines offer a fresh and elegant taste, characteristic of the cool Heuvelland climate.
The “Wiscoutre Blanc de Blancs” is the flagship of the estate, featuring subtle aromas of stone fruit and citrus, with a fine mousse. This wine is ideal as an aperitif and pairs perfectly with fresh dishes such as oysters and salmon mousse.
