The Vineyard

In the rolling hills of Pajottenland, on a gently sloping plot in Gooik, Wijngoed Stuyvenberg has been exclusively producing sparkling wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir since 2011. The unique soil and the mild Belgian climate—comparable to that of the Champagne region twenty years ago—give rise to refined aromas.

With a deliberate choice for low vine vigor and environmentally friendly techniques, without herbicides, sustainability is key. Production remains intentionally small-scale, with a strong focus on quality. The result? Belgian craftsmanship in every bottle of bubbles.

The Founders

Hendrik Coysman began making fruit wines in a Brussels cellar in the 1980s. In 2011, he fully committed to sparkling wine, together with his son Louis. With passion and precision, they craft high-quality wines in Gooik that rival top wines from France and Italy.

Their shared ambition and love for terroir and tradition form the beating heart of Wijngoed Stuyvenberg. Father and son complement each other perfectly, from vineyard to cellar, sharing a dream to put Belgian sparkling wine on the map through pure craftsmanship.

From Grape to Bottle

At Wijngoed Stuyvenberg, everything happens on the estate: from grape to bottle. The grapes are hand-picked, gently pressed, and fermented using the traditional method. The wine then ages for at least two years “sur lattes” in the cellar.

Each bottle is carefully disgorged by hand. With modern precision and a deep respect for tradition, Hendrik and Louis create wines with refinement, character, and finesse. The result: award-winning bubbles that perfectly blend sustainability, tradition, and innovation—fully Belgian, fully artisanal.

About the Wine

The sparkling wines from Wijngoed Stuyvenberg are a harmonious interplay of fruity Pinot Noir and elegant Chardonnay. The white Stuyvenberger Brut is ideal as an aperitif or with refined fish dishes, while the rare rosé variant shines during summer moments or with a red fruit dessert.

Each bottle embodies the Pajottenland terroir and years of dedication. With their fine mousse, vibrant acidity, and long finish, these wines are a celebration in themselves—pure, Belgian, and crowned with gold by Flemish sommeliers.
