The Vineyard

The vineyard of Vignoble des Agaises, located on the south-facing limestone slopes of “Les Agaises” in Haulchin, lies at the very heart of Belgian sparkling wine production.

Since 2002, high-quality Chardonnay grapes have been cultivated here on the exceptional terroir of “Terres Blanches.” As the first estate in Wallonia to focus exclusively on sparkling wine made using the traditional method, it quickly grew into a pioneer in the sector. Today, the domain covers more than 40 hectares and enjoys international recognition. In 2015, it was awarded the title of Chevalier du Mérite Wallon for its contribution to the prestige of Wallonia.

The Founders

Vignoble des Agaises was founded in 2002 from the visionary idea of wine merchant Raymond Leroy and farmer Etienne Delbeke, on the chalk-rich hills of Haulchin.
With the expertise of Champagne producer Thierry Gobillard and a dedicated team of skilled professionals, the estate evolved into a leading name in Belgian sparkling wine.

Sons Arnaud and John Leroy brought added strength to the family project with their expertise in communication and oenology. Today, a close-knit team of specialists works across more than 40 hectares of vineyard, with a keen focus on quality, tradition, and innovation. Vignoble des Agaises is not just a winery—it’s a vibrant symbol of Belgian wine ambition.

Precision and Craftsmanship

At Vignoble des Agaises, everything revolves around precision and craftsmanship. The sparkling wines are crafted using the méthode traditionnelle, employing only the first pressing of carefully selected grapes (mainly Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir).

Fermentations are temperature-controlled, with full malolactic conversion for enhanced softness. After the second fermentation in bottle, the cuvées age on the lees for a minimum of 15 to 42 months, gaining further complexity through partial oak aging.
The result is elegant, fresh, and refined wines with a delicate mousse and expressive terroir character—ideal for both festive occasions and gastronomic pairings.

The sparkling wines of Vignoble des Agaises stand out for their refined style and distinct elegance. Marked by crisp minerality and vibrant acidity, they strike a perfect balance between lightness and depth of character.

The Brut Nature reveals a pure, clean profile with delicate aromas and a fresh finish—ideal as an aperitif or alongside seafood. The prestige cuvée, crafted from the oldest vines, adds a layer of subtle complexity thanks to extended aging and light oak influence.
The result is a multi-dimensional wine of finesse, shining both on its own and in refined culinary settings. Every sip reflects the unique terroir of Haulchin.
