Domaine du Chant d'Éole is a leading Belgian winery located in Quévy-le-Grand, near Mons. With 54 hectares of south-facing vineyards on chalk-rich soils, the estate offers ideal conditions for producing high-quality sparkling wines.
Since its founding in 2010, Chant d'Éole has distinguished itself through its focus on quality and innovation, earning international recognition and numerous awards.
Chant d'Éole is the result of a collaboration between the Belgian Ewbank de Wespin family and experienced winemakers from the Champagne region. This unique combination of local agricultural expertise and traditional French winemaking knowledge has led to exceptional quality in their sparkling wines.
The Ewbank de Wespin family manages the estate with passion and dedication, aiming for sustainability and excellence in every bottle.
Chant d'Éole produces its sparkling wines using the traditional method, similar to Champagne production. The process includes both manual and mechanical harvesting, gentle pressing, fermentation in stainless steel tanks, and a minimum of 18 months of aging on lees in the cellar.
Following disgorgement, the bottles undergo additional aging to enhance complexity and finesse.
The range includes several sparkling wines, notably the Brut Blanc de Blancs, the Brut Rosé, and the Cuvée Réserve Millésimée. The Brut Blanc de Blancs, made from 100% Chardonnay—the estate's signature grape variety—stands out for its finesse and freshness. The Brut Rosé, a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, delights with its delicate and fruity flavor. The Cuvée Millésimée, also made from 100% Chardonnay, offers a complex and elegant experience after a minimum aging period of 48 months.
These wines have won numerous international awards, including the title of “Best Sparkling Wine in the World” at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, held in Switzerland that year.
